Lina Breining is a film composer and pianist from Austin, TX. Currently, she is pursuing her masters degree in Screen Scoring at NYU. Lina received a Bachelor or Arts in Music Composition and a Bachelor of Science in Fine Arts from the University of Texas at Austin. Her most recent work was in collaboration with the prestigious American Film Institute (AFI) as the composer for the short film “I Thought the Earth Remembered Me" (2022) which was screened at AFI Fest in Los Angeles.
Previous collaborations include: the Austin Film Festival, Department of Radio Television and Film in the Moody School of Communications, the Butler School of Music, the School of Design and Creative Technologies and the Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of Texas at Austin. Lina has also written music in collaboration with the Waller Creek Conservatory, Austin Shakespeare and the Paramount Youth Theatre Company. Lina is based in New York City.
